Visit elearning.kcau.ac.ke and sign in with your student number and default password. First-time users, check your admission email for credentials.
Click “Forgot Password” on the login page. Enter your student email and follow the reset link sent to your inbox within 5 minutes.
Navigate to your course → click “Live Session.” Classes run on Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Ensure your camera and mic are working before joining.
Open your enrolled course and click the “Resources” tab. Lecture notes, slides, and readings are uploaded by your lecturer weekly.
Go to your course → “Activities” → “Quiz.” Ensure a stable internet connection. Quizzes are timed — read instructions before starting.
Navigate to “Assignments” within your course. Click “Submit,” upload your file (PDF or Word), and click “Save.” Confirm your submission receipt.
Click your avatar (top-right corner) → “Profile” → “Edit Profile.” Add a photo, update your contact info, and save changes.

Visit elearning.kcau.ac.ke and log in using your student number and password. New students receive their credentials via their registered email upon admission. If you haven’t received them, contact the helpdesk.
Click “Forgot Password” on the login page. A password reset link will be sent to your KCAU email address. If you no longer have access to that email, contact the ICT Helpdesk with your student ID for manual reset assistance.
Log in to the portal, navigate to “My Courses,” and click on the relevant course. All lecture notes, readings, and supplementary materials are organized by week under the “Resources” section.
Inside your course, scroll to the relevant week and click the assignment link. Click “Add Submission,” upload your file in the accepted format (PDF or DOCX), and click “Save Changes.” Always verify you receive a confirmation before the deadline.
Immediately screenshot the error and contact the ICT Helpdesk at helpdesk@kcau.ac.ke or call the emergency support line. Do not close your browser — most exams allow you to re-enter with your session intact. Your lecturer will be notified.
Yes! The KCAU eLearning platform is fully mobile-responsive and accessible on any smartphone or tablet browser. You can also download the official Moodle mobile app from the App Store or Google Play Store for a better mobile experience.
Virtual classes are held via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Links are posted in the course page under “Live Sessions.” You’ll receive an email reminder 30 minutes before each class. Attendance is tracked and counts toward your continuous assessment score.
